HUGHES-GILL WEDDING
The marriage of Richard Hughes and (M)ary Gill took place at St. Mich(aels)
church in Mitchell Tuesday, Apr. (26th) (at) 9 o'clock in the morning. Rev.
(Father) Burke, of Cascade, performed (the cere)mony. The bride was attired
(in a) handsome (suit) of dove colored (?) while the groom wore the
customary (black.) The Misses Naughton (and) (?)gie Gill, sister of the
bride, acted as bridesmaids, and Tom Franey and (?)ser as groomsmen. After
the (ceremo)ny was performed, the happy couple retired to the home of the
bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gill. where (fi)fty persons had assembled
for (?).
The afternoon was spent very (?)ly with music, songs etc., (at ?) o'clock,
ice-cream was served, (after) which dancing was indulged in, (and contin)ued
until a late hour. The (presents) were both numerous and costly.
