Miss Helen Jane Vasselos And Robert Gartman Repeat Vows
Only immediate families and close relatives were present on Monday for the
noon marriage of Miss Helen Jane Vasselos and Robert C. Gartman. The date
also marked the 31st wedding anniversary of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest C. Vasselos, and the nuptial service was performed in their home, 330
Geele avenue. The Rev. Anthony Van Zante of Hope Reformed church read the
ceremony and the Rev. Kenneth Krueger of Evangelical United Brethren church
gave a prayer.
The couple's only attendants were Mrs. Kenneth Osbrink, the bride's cousin,
of Louiseville, Ky., as matron of honor, and Gordon Koehler of Milwaukee, as
best man. Nick Christus ushered the guests. The matron of honor also
doubled as soloist and presented "Because", "Tell Me Why" and "The Lord's
Prayer". She was accompanied by her husband, who is a pianist.
Dinner was served to 29 persons at Riverdale Country club. Among the guests
were Mrs. Gordon Koehler and Stevie, Milwaukee, and S/Sgt. Hugo Gartman, Jr.,
Rapid City, S.D.
Mr. Gartman and his bride have left on a two weeks' trip to Denver, the Black
Hills, Arkansas, St. Louis, Mo., and other places of interest. After July 9,
they will be residing with the bride's parents, until their new home is
completed.
