Miss Ehlert Is Wed Saturday To Donald Gartmann
Miss Lillian Ehlert of Kenosha and Donald Lee Gartmann of this city were the
bridal pair in a 3 o'clock ceremony that was read Saturday afternoon by the
Rev. George Knackert in St. Dominic's Rectory.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Christ Ehlert, Kenosha, and Mr. and
Mrs. Arno Gartmann, Dietz St.
The trio of bridal aids comprised Mrs. Carl Wamboldt, Kenosha, cousin of the
bride, who was her matron of honor, Miss Elaine Pfiffer and Miss Jeanneatte
Wamboldt, the bridesmaids. The latter is the bride's cousin from Kenosha.
Other attendants were Richard Baumann, Plymouth, the best man, James Ehlert,
Kenosha, brother of the bride, and Richard Truttschel, Route 1, Sheboygan
Falls, the groomsmen.
Fifteen guests were served a wedding supper at 6 o'clock at Sandy's "Gray
Gables." Later in the evening there was a wedding reception at Calumet Hall,
where 300 persons assembled to greet the couple. The music for the
celebration was provided by Martin Boerner. Among the group were a number
from Wisconsin cities, Mrs. Joseph Nachtwey and Mrs. Roger Nachtwey, Shawano;
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wamboldt, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Schwartz, Mr. and Mrs. Ed.
Legler and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mauser, Kenosha.
Central High School in Sheboygan was attended by the former Miss Ehlert. Mr.
Gartmann was a student at St. Norbert's, West DePere. He is a tree trimmer.
