Gartmann - Paasch
A quite but pretty wedding took place Thursday afternoon, when Miss Anna
Gartmann, daughter of Henry Gartmann, Town Wilson, became the bride of Walter
Paasch, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Paasch 1710 Illinois avenue, the Rev.
Oesch performing the ceremony.
The bride wore a lovely gown of white satin and georgette crepe with bead
trimmings. Her flowers were a shower bouquet of roses and swansonia.
The bridesmaid, Miss Lillian Mallmann, cousin of the bride, wore a delicate
gown of blue satin, while Miss Katherine Shelfer, friend of the couple, wore
a gown of pale pink satin. They carried arm bouquets of pink carnations.
Anthony Gartmann brother of the bride and Irwin Paasch, brother of the groom,
attending Mr. Paasch.
After the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride, where
a reception was held. At 5:30 o'clock a four course wedding dinner was
served. The tables were attractively decorated with cut flowers, covers
being laid for twenty guests. The out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Gartmann, son, Arno and daughter, Ilma of Hingham and Mr. and Mrs. William
Woepse of Adell.
Mr. and Mrs. Paasch have gone to housekeeping at 1710 Illinois avenue, where
they have a home already furnished. The bride is a popular young lady,
having won a host of friends. The groom recently returned from the army,
having served one year overseas in the 26th infantry. Their many friends
extend felicitations.
