Miss L. Gartman Weds at Holy Name Church Tuesday
Miss Leona Gartman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Gartman, 1010 N. Ninth
street, and George J. Thull of Detroit, Mich., were united in marriage at 8
a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Name church, the Rev. Mr. Lehwaldt performing the
ceremony. Prof. August Zohlen, organist at the church played the wedding
processional.
The bride wore a gown of white baronette satin and a tulle veil, and carried
a shower bouquet of roses and swansonia. She was attended by Miss Clara
Thull, Chicago, a sister of the groom. Miss Thull wore white organdie, a
large hat to match and carried an arm bouquet of yellow snap-dragons. Louis
Gartman, the bride's brother, was best man.
After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's
parents and a reception was held during the day. The relatives of the couple
were guests and decorations were in cut flowers.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Thull are well known young people. The bride was a
stenographer at the E. R. Godfrey & Sons company for sometime. The groom is
employed as a mechanic at Ford Motor company at Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Thull
left today for Detroit where they will make their future home.
The out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thull and son,
John and Mrs. F. Linsmayer, Minneapolis, Minn., Miss Clara Thull, Chicago and
Mr. and Mrs. John Bachhuber and daughter, Marion, of Mayville. A host of
friends here extend their best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Thull for a bright and
happy future.
