Johann Kröhnke's Family

Margarethe Schlichting was Johann's second wife, whom he married in 1851 in New Holstein, so this is his second family.
{His first wife was Margarethe Rögener who accompanied him from Marne, Süderdithmarschen, Schleswig-Holstein on the ship the Brarens in 1848. She died 1849 in New Holstein.
They moved to Sheboygan as my great-grandmother, Bertha, was born in Sheboygan in 1853.
All of the children of Margarethe Schlichting were born in Sheboygan.
I'm not sure of the year that they returned to New Holstein, but Johann died there in 1897 and Margarethe in 1896.

From left to right on the family photo:
Ernst, Mary, and Bertha are standing behind their parents, Margarethe and Johann Kröhnke. Standing between her parents is Minna. Minna was born in 1858, so I'm not sure when this photo was taken.

Ernst married a woman named "Appie" Apollonia (last name not known at this time), Mary married Otto Fries and her second husband was Otto Hesse, Bertha married Jacob Poppert and Minna married John C. Luehr.
