Entertain For Son

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Loesing Jr., entertained at a birthday for their little son, Robert Herman, Friday evening at their home on North Eleventh Street, in observance of his fifth birthday anniversary. There were four little guests Jane Leu, Junior Hoelle, June Aleff(sp?) and Margaret Reinhardt and for them the evening was a merry one among various games that were played. Mr. and Mrs. Loesing’s other guests numbered thirty-five and they played card games during the evening. Honors at bridge were won by Mrs. MacPherson, first; Mrs. Fred Kirkpatrick, second and Mrs. Christ Reinhardt, consolation; at schafskopf by Mrs. Esserhardt, first, Mrs. Schild, second and Mrs. Wendland, consolation and at bunco Mrs. Otto Hobson and Mrs. Alvin Hostmann were the winners. Decorations throughout were carried out in pink and white. A large pink birthday cake with five pink candles in honor of Master Loesing, centered the table and at either end of the long table were candlesticks with the pink candles. Out of town guests included Miss Vaughn Pricell and Charles Pricell of Oak Park Illinois; Mrs, Louis Hoelle and son Junior, of Chicago and Mrs. MacPherson of Detroit Michigan. Master Loesing received many pretty gifts.
