Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Volk, highly esteemed residents of the community, in company of three hundred relatives and
friends, celebrated the thirty-fifth anniversary of their marriage last Saturday. The event was celebrated at Turner
Hall and was featured with a dance for which Schellinger's Orchestra furnished the music.
The anniversary of their marriage occured on November 3rd, the nuptials being performed on that date in 1887 at St.
Cloud. The couple then came to this city where they have since made their home. Five children were born of the union
the oldest being Hubert Volk who is a member of the law firm of Martin and Volk of Waukesha. Leland, the next oldest
is employed on a railroad and makes his home at Ironwood, Mich., while Theodore Jr., is at Macon, Georgia, where he
is employed in the offices of the Chamber of Commerce; Mrs. Enola Hilleman and Mrs. Robert Suhrke are the other two
children, both of them living in this city.
Mr. Volk has taken an active interest in municipal affairs here having served as city clerk for nine years and as
city treasurer for four years. For the past six years he has been municipal judge. He is a member of the firm
operating under the name of the Plymouth Cigar Company and follows his vocation as a cigar maker. Both Mr. and Mrs.
Volk have a wide circle of friends in the community and are held in high esteem by all.
One of the features of the celebration Saturday was a grand march which was led by Mr. and Mrs. Volk. Next in line
were Mrs. Louis Wessendorf of Sheboygan Falls and Tom Franey of this city who were the attendants of the couple when
they were wed thirty-five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Volk received many gifts from their friends and a number of
beautiful floral offerings as well as a host of cards and messages tendering felicitations to the happy couple.

Fred Schwalbe, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Edler, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brockmann, all from Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. James
Godfrey, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Steinhardt, Miss Katherine Mack of Cascade; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wessendorf and Ellen and
Louis Wessendorf, Jr., Sheboygan Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Syron, Mr. and Mrs. Art Iserloth, Miss Dona Brieske, of
Glenbeulah; Mr. and Mrs. Alan Fiedler, De Pere; Mr. and Mrs. August Dassow, and Gerhardt Dreymiller, Elkhart Lake;
and William Cairns of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
