Vicky, Do you have any direct information on Henry Maas? I believe he married Bertha Planert. Also Bertha's niece, Hattie or Henrietta married Henry's nephew, Paul. Do you have any verification of this? They all resided in Wisconsin at the time.

JULIUS PLANERT, GIBSONBURG, DIES

Gibsonburg-- Julius H. Planert, 65, Route 1, died Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial hospital. He had been a patient at the hospital since he suffered a heart attack Monday. He was a farmer.

Born February 12, 1888, at Seymore, Wis., Mr. Planert had been a resident of near Gibsonburg the last 54 years. He and the former Bertha Wolf were marreid at Gibsonburg in 1926. He was the son of Julius and Bertha Will Planert and a member of Zion Lutheran church.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Lyle of Gibsonburg; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Dayringer of Clyde; four grandchildren; two brothers, John of Pine City, Minn., and Arthur of KauKuana, Wis.; and two sisters, Mrs. Marvin Wiese of Algona, Wis., and Mrs. Carrie Higgins of San Francisco, Calif. He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Veh and Son funeral home. The Rev. A. R. Lembke will officiate at services at the mortuary Friday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Gibsonburg cemetery.

Gene Carl Koch, 71, Lakewood, died Saturday, February 3, 2001 in Wausau after a long battle with illness. Gene was born in Lakewood on August 12, 1929, the son of Herman and Emma Planert Koch.
