Page Family

First Generation

1. Joseph H. PAGE was born in Massachusetts 1824. Joseph died 4 June 1868 Oconto Co., WI., at 43 years of age. Died as a result of wound received during the Civil War ''War of Rebellion". Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto, Block 2 Lot 16.

There is also an Amy F. Page, died 10 Oct. 1898, buried in the same site; daughter of Frank and Ella Page, who died in Marinette and a Eddie Scofield Page, age 5 1/2 yrs., died in sawmill, Marinette on 20 Apr. 1888; son of Frank C. and Flora E. Page and Foster J. Page died 5 Dec. 1910, in Hickory.

Joseph H. Page married Julia Ann TIBBITS in Maine, prior to 1845. Julia was born Columbia, Washington Co., Maine 1 Jan. 1826. Julia was the daughter of David TIBBETTS. She married Levi S. LINDSAY in Wisconsin, circa 1860's. Julia died 12 June 1898 in Oconto County, Wisconsin, at 72 years of age. Oconto VR, Vol 4, pg. 20. Death certificate last name spelled Linsee and her husband shown as Joseph Page. The date record for date of death is obviously her birth date of 1 Jan. 1826. with her age shown as 72 years, 5 months this would mean she died on June 1. The 12 June 1898 is the date of the certificate and date of burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Records show her buried under Lindsay, in Block 2, Lot 1.

Mrs. Julia A. Lindsey will leave Oconto next week for a visit of a couple of years with relatives and friends in Bangor, Me., her old home. Mrs. Lindsey will be much missed in social circles of this city, of which she was one of the earliest settlers - there being but three houses here when she came. The good wishes of friends go with her and they will anxiously await her return.

Joseph page on the 1850 U.S. census is living in Addison, Washington Co., Maine. age 26, born MA; Julia A, age 22, born Maine, with children John F. age 4 and Charles, age 1, both born Maine.

Joseph H. Page listed in 1860 census on page 249, in the east ward of Oconto.   Joseph is age 36, born MA.; Julie Ann, age 31 born Maine. The had 3 children John F, age 14, born Maine; Charles F. age 11, born Maine and Carrie M., age 2 born WI.

Joseph H. PAGE and Julia Ann TIBBITS had the following children:
          i.   John F. PAGE was born Addison, Washington Co. ME. 1845.
         ii.   Charles F. PAGE was born 1849.
        iii.   Carrie PAGE was born in Wisconsin Nov. 1857. Carrie died 26 Dec. 1860 in Oconto. WI. at 3 years of age. Buried Evergreen Cemetery 1860 age 3 years 1 mo.

Second Generation

        2. Charles F. PAGE (Joseph H.1) was born Addison, Washington Co. ME. 1849. Charles used Frank C. Page as an adult.

He married Flora Ella AMES Oconto Co., WI, 1 Dec. 1881. Oconto County Reporter, December 17, 1881

Frank Page has gone and done it. Feeling that it was not good to be alone, and that the injunction to multiply and replenish the earth was right and spirit and practice, he went forth on the 1st inst, from his mothers house at Pulcifer, and returned with Miss Ella Ames and the two exchanged vows in the evening, the Rev. Mr. Cox being present on the interesting occasion to pronounce them man and wife and to extend to them his ministerial congratulation. Frank's many friends in this city will wish him happiness in his new departure.

Flora was born. Known as Ella.

Charles F. PAGE and Flora Ella AMES had the following children:
                        i.   Amy PAGE was born in Oconto, WT. 1882. Amy died 14 Oct. 1898 in Marinette. Wisconsin, a1 16 years of age.

DIED
Amy. eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Page. She was 16 years of age. was born in Oconto and died of appendicitis. The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Marinette on Wednesday morning, the body was brought to Oconto on the 2:08 train and interred in Evergreen cemetery. Many Oconto friends deeply sympathize with the afflicted parents.
                        ii.   Eddie Scofield PAGE was born in Wisconsin 1883. Eddie died 20 April 1888 in Marinette, Wisconsin, at 4 years of age.
