contributed by Richard La Brosse Oconto Falls — Baskets of gladioli were placed on the altars of At. Anthony Catholic Church here Saturday morning for the nuptial service which united Mess Mary Barbara Yarwood and Sgt. Byron Bigelow. The ceremony was read by the Rev. Edward Haessly at 10 o’clock. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Basil Yarwood of Oconto Falls, was given in marriage by her father. The sergeant is the son of Mrs. Edwin Bigelow and the late Mr. Bigelow, also of Oconto Falls. Miss Jean Young, Mrs. Maynard Rice and Mrs. Marvin Pegorsch, the latter two sisters of the bridegroom, as attendants were dressed in white. James Moynihan Jr. was best man and the other attendants were Maynard Rice and Marvin Pegorsch. A reception was held at the Morgan Town Hall at 4 o’clock and a dance was held there in the evening. The couple will reside at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., where the groom is stationed. The groom has been in service for the past six years and both attended school in Oconto Falls. |
