Treasures from the Attic July 29, 1939  Richard La Brosse Mabel Gauthier Weds Lionel Coopman  Miss Mattel Gauthier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph  Gauthier, Little  Suamico, became the bride of Lionel Coopman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Felix Coopman, Oconto Falls, at a pretty summer wedding solemnized Saturday at the St. Pius Catholic church in Little Suamico.  The bride was attired in a floor length gown of iceberg white chiffon with a full skirt and the waist was fashioned with bows of powder blue velvet, a picture hat of matching blue and she carried an arm bouquet of pink   roses and babies breath. Her sister, Miss Dorothy Gauthier, her only attendant, wore a dusty rose gown trimmed in blue and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers.  The groom was attended by his brother-in-law, Thomas Kobes. Miss Mavis Riemer, cousin of the groom, sang "I Love You Truly," accompanied by her sister, Loraine, at the organ and Chester Coopman, a cousin of the groom, playing the violin, shortly before the mass. During the mass the Riemer sisters sang "0 Sanctissima." Miss Loraine played the Mendelssohn wedding march.  Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was given at the bride's home for the bridal party. At 12 o'clock dinner was served to 36 immediate relatives and friends. Mrs. Coopman has been employed in Green Bay for the past five years and Mr. Coopman is a graduate of the Oconto Falls high school with the class of 1927 and was an outstanding athlete. He has been employed as steel construction line worker for over eight years. Mr. and Mrs. Coopman left on a trip through northern Wisconsin.
