Miss Margaret Veronica Hynes, of this city and Mr.
Albert Noack, of Little River, were married at St. Joseph’s parsonage at
7 o’clock Monday morning. Rev. Fr. Selbach officiating. They were attended
by the bride’s half sister, Miss Elizabeth Burke, and half brother, Mr.
Joseph Burke, as bridesmaid and groomsman respectively.

January 30, 1908 Marriage licenses-
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Brazeau of this city have announced
the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Lucille, to Edgar A. Ste. Marie
of Spokane. The wedding will occur Thursday, Feb. 6.
Eckhardt – Wilcox Popular Young People, Formerly of this City, Wedded in Missouri Announcements of the marriage of Miss Frances Beyer Wilcox, of St. Joe, Mo., to Walter J. Eckhardt, of Green Bay, which took place at the brides home last Saturday, were received here this week. Both young people are well and favorably known here. The bride is the daughter of Dr. D. E. Wilcox of this city and made this her home until a few years ago when she went south with her mother but has been a frequent visitor here since. Her sweet and amiable disposition has made her a general favorite among all her associates. The groom has made his home in this city with his aunt, Mrs. E. A. Funke, for a number of years, and made many friends during his residence here. He is a member of the firm of Eckhardt & Dressen of Green Bay and is enjoying a good business. Mr. and Mrs. Eckardt are expected here Saturday or Sunday and will be at home to their friends in Green Bay after March 1 at 607 Madison Street. Their many friends extend their heartiest congratulations.
To Wed Feb 6
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Brazeau, of this city, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Lucille, to Edgar A. St. Marie of Spokane. The wedding, for which about one hundred and fifty invitations have been sent out, will occur Thursday, Feb. 6th, at St. Louis, of Gonzaga church, Spokane, Rev. Father Falchi will officiate. Miss Brazeau has resided in this city since last October, having come to Newport with her parents, who formerly resided in Oconto, Wisconsin, the former home of the groom. Miss Brazeau, who is a popular and charming young lady, during her residence in this city has made many friends who will be pleasantly surprised to learn of her engagement. Mr. Ste. Marie, the groom to be, is a well known and popular railroad man of Spokane, and at present is connected with the operating department of the Spokane & Inland Empire Ry. System. Feb. 20, 1908 Two Young People Are Made Happy
At 2:00 this afternoon St. Peter’s Parsonage was the scene of a very pretty wedding to which the contracting parties were Miss Fronie Goulder of this city and Mr. Earl B. Crawford of Marshfield. At six o’clock Tuesday evening the parlors in the Lexinton Hotel at Chicago was the scene of one of the prettiest and most brillant weddings that has taken plce there in many a day, the contracting parties being Miss Gertrude Naglestock of Ironwodd Mich. and Mr. Joseph Heller of this city, Rabbi Dr. Shanfaerbet officiating. To the sweet strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march, rendered by a ladies Orchestra of Chicago, of whom are all artists; the bridal party entered the parlors, the bride laening on her father’s arm, and the groom, proceeded by the little ring bearer, Corene Fisher of Chicago. Martineau, oldest daughter of A. M. Martineau of this city, and Bernard
G. Snyder, oldest son of B. Snyder, of Green Bay, which took place at 7:30

high mass. They were attended by Miss Ella Davis and Mr. Fred Snyder, brother
of the groom, of Green Bay as bridesmaid and groomsman respectively.

March 5, 1908 Married Mr. Stanley Pawisk and Miss Josephine Komczak of Milwaukee
were quietly married in the Spruce church Monday, March 2. Only a few of
the most intimate friends were present at the reception, but in the evening
they were over surprised when a sleigh load of young folks came to cheer
up the wedding. Lead by a solo, sang by the mistress of the house, the
crowd outside played them the lively tune on their instruments which was
followed by a big party. Mr. and Mrs. Pawisk will reside in Spruce and
we all extend our heartiest congratulations to the young couple in the
future.

March 12, 1908 Albert Lemke of Breed and Eva Way of Mountain were married Tuesday afternoon at the formers home in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. They were presented with many beautiful gifts and a good time was reported. Mr. and Mrs. Lemke will reside in Breed and we all extend our heartiest congratulations to the young couple for their future happiness. married at Menominee, Mich., Feb. 26. Both people are well and favorably
known here, the bride having grown to womanhood in this city. She
was a graduate of the Oconto High school and at the time of her marriage
was engaged in teaching at Pensaukee. The groom is employed as brakeman
on the C&NW Ry. Running out of here and has made many friends
during his residence in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Lee will reside in
Oconto.

Mr. Walter A. Harvey and Miss Louise Anding were married at the bride’s home in Lake City, Minn., Monday June 1. After July 1, they will be at home to their friends in Platteville, where the groom has been located for the last few years, as the representative of the Fairbanks Morse Company. The bride made numerous friends during her visit here last year and the groom has a host of friends in this county, where he has lived most of his life, whose congratulations and good wishes are extended the happy couple for their future. The wedding will take place at Bonduel in the Lutheran church with reception at the home of the bride’s parents. Miss Effie Borden and Mr. Albert Rasmussen were united in marriage at the home of the groom’s parents at Spruce, Wednesday, May 27, Rev. Smith of Hickory performing the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Borden of Timme and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Rasmussen of Spruce. They were attended by Miss Estella Borden and Mr. Arthur Rasmussen as bridesmaid and groomsman respectively. The bride was attired in white net over white silk and the bridesmaid wore white mull. June 11, 1908 Announce Marriage
At a wedding supper given at the bride’s parents to relatives and a few intimate friends, Mr. William Merline and Miss Rose Marek announced their marriage at Menominee, August 24, 1907, nearly ten months ago. They accompanied the late William Ryan and his wife to Menominee, when they were married on that day and it was given out that they were the attendants at that marriage, but it now turns out that they were the principal contracting parties as well. It is apparent they can keep a secret. Their large circle of friends here are today extending belated congratulations. (editor's note: Witness and friend William Ryan had married Edith Driscol on the same day as this wedding and passed away after a two year battle with Tuberculosis. Brookside, Wis., June 11 – Mr. Joseph Kadlec, Jr. and Miss Katie Ennise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ennise, were married June 10th in Menominee. The groom is a well-known young man of Spruce and the bride is well known lady of the town of Pensaukee. They were attended by Miss Helen Utech and Miss Rose Kirchner as bridesmaids and Mr. Edward Kadlec and Mr. Patrick Hyland as the grooms best men. They left on the 7:00 train the same evening on a trip to Milwaukee where they will spend their honeymoon. They will be at home to their friends in Brookside in a short time. Lena, June 25 – Miss Jessie Marcouiller of Lena and
Mr. William LeBeouf of Menominee were married at St. Charles church, Lena,
yesterday, Rev. Father Darche officiating. The bride and her bridesmaids,
the Misses Laura and Marie Marcouiller were all beautifully dressed I white

Miss Ida Sverdid and Mr. Samuel Goodman were united in marriage at 8:00 last Sunday evening, Rabbi Kallins of Marinette officiating. M. Breakstone and M. Abrams acted as witnesses. of Pittsfield, brother of the bride. After the ceremony at the church,
the relatives sat down to a bountiful wedding dinner at the home of the
bride’s parents. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. James Cooney of Pittsfield
and is very popular among her associates. The groom is an industrious,
steady young man of excellent habits and many qualities and has lived at
Morgan for a number of years and has a large number of friends whose good
wishes follow both young people and from whom they received a large number
of beautiful presents.

July 9, 1908 Charles J. Hansen and Miss Hilda Johnson Two more young people were made one yesterday afternoon
when Rev. Olson of Gillett pronounced the vows, which he made them one.
The contracting parties were Charles J. Hansen and Miss Hilda Johnson,
both of Suring. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. U. Johnson, of Suring, and was one of the prettiest weddings
that has taken place in Suring for sometime. The bride was attended by
Miss Dagmar Johnson and the groom by James Johnson.
Are Wedded in Lauerman Store
Tuesday afternoon in the Lauerman store on the third
floor, a young couple from Oconto county were united in marriage. The ceremony
was performed in the parlor on the third floor, which is part of the furniture
exhibit. Justice Bernardy officiated and pronounced the words that made
them man and wife. The bride was Susanna Bri of Brazeau, Oconto County,
and the groom is August Olshefski of Morgan, Oconto county. His brother
was best man. During the ceremony a phonograph played “When life is brightest”.

Brokaw, Wis. July 25 – A very pretty wedding was solemnized
at 8:00 Wednesday morning, July 22, at St. Mary’s Catholic church at Wausau
when Frances Hazel Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Young, of Merrill,
and Charles Mineau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mineau of Oconto were united
in marriage, Rev. Gasper officiating. They were attended by Jeanette LaMonda
of Wausau and Vernon Burharis of Kaukauna as bride’s maid and groomsman

Aug. 6, 1908 Married in Marinette Miss Lillian Lingensjo of Little River, and Mr. Elmer
England of this place were married in Marinette on Thursday evening, July
16, Rev. Erick Bohman of that city officiating. The couple was attended
by Miss Lydia Lingensjo of Little River and Mr. Robert Strom of Marinette.
Mr. England has been a resident of this township for the past fifteen years
and has earned the reputation of an energetic and successful businessman
and has acquired considerable property. Mrs. England is still at her home
in Little River and when she has disposed of her property they will arrive
here, where the young couple will reside in the future. The best wishes

Mr. James Francis Taylor, a former Oconto boy, but
now of Chicago, and Miss Agnes Bernadette McNulty of Ishpeming, Mich.,

Sep. 3, 1908 Quietly Married
After quietly misleading his score of friends by announcing
that the ceremony was to take place at Oconto next Monday evening, Mr.
William Klebs, the popular catcher of the Menominee baseball team, and
Miss Edith Rusch, daughter of the late A. H. Rusch of Oconto, were married
at 8:30 last evening at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Richard Edling,
435 Main St. The ceremony was extremely private, only direct relatives
and a few friends being present. Rev. Charles B. Schuh, pastor of the Trinity
Evangelical church, pronounced the solemn words that made the happy couple
man and wife.

Miss Tillie Werth of this city and Mr. Gustav Rathke

Sobiski, Wis.- Sept. 8 – A very pretty wedding was
solemnized at 10:00 yesterday morning at the St. John’s church here, when
Miss Frances Revolinki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Revolinski of Little
Suamico and Mr. Joseph Kleczker of Milwaukee were united in marriage. Father
Novak officiated.
Remington – Walsh Marriage Miss Florence Remington of the West ward and Mr. Charles
John Walsh, son of William T. Walsh of the town of Oconto, were quietly
married in the presence of a few friends at 6:00 Tuesday morning at St.
Peter’s church, Rev. Fr. Vanier, officiating.

Sep. 17, 1908 Married in Menominee
Miss Lena Kittler of this city and Mr. Alexander Cota,
of the town of Oconto were quietly married at St. Paulus Evangelical parsonage
in Menominee at 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C. B. Schuh tying the nuptial
knot. They were attended by Miss Lydia Kittler, sister of the bride, and
Mr. Joseph Cota brother of the groom, as bridesmaid and groomsman. In the
evening a reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Gottlieb Kittler, in the South ward, only immediate relatives and
a few intimate friends being present.
Married Thursday Miss Emma Bubal of Underhill and Mr. James E. Dickson
of Gillett were united in marriage in this city last Thursday by County
Judge H. F. Jones.

August Lechner. Miss Reeder will be remembered as the young lady who formerly
conducted the Star Electric Theater here and her many friends extend congratulations.

the ceremony. They were attended by Misses Anna Geschke and Lena Gross,
and Mr.’s Emil Gering and Adolph Riewe, brother of the groom, as bridesmaid
and groomsmen respectively.
Married Yesterday Morning Miss Anna Kasher and Mr. Jacob Vondrash Both of This City Miss Anna Kasher and Mr. Jacob Vondrash, both of this city, were married yesterday morning at St. Joseph’s Church, Rev. Fr. Selbach officiating. They were attended by Miss Anna Vondrash, sister of the groom and Mr. Joseph Kasher, brother of the bride, as bridesmaid and groomsman. The bride was attired in a becoming traveling suit of blue with hat to match. Immediately after the ceremony they repaired to the

Thursday morning at 8:00 when Miss Jessie Marie Colburn and Mr. Emil Fischer
were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, Rev. Father St. Louis officiating.
The bridal couple were attended by Miss Maude and Mr. Claude Colburn, sister
and brother of the bride as bridesmaid and groomsman.

Dec. 10, 1908 Kept Marriage Secret
Miss Anna Wolf of Oconto Falls and Mr. Fred Krueger
of Pensaukee stole a march on their friends and were secretly married in
Marinette, the 16th of April, and have kept it a secret up to the present
time. The ceremony was performed in the courtroom by Rev. W. L. Veller,
then of Peshtigo, but now of Marinette. The young people have the best
wishes of their numerous friends. They are residing on the old homestead
in the town of Pensaukee.
Married Friday Morning
Mrs. Mary McCarthy of Stiles and Mr. John Van Dyke
of this city were married at 6:00 last Friday morning at St. Joseph’s church,
Rev. Selbach officiating. A special dispensation had been granted by County
Judge H. F. Jones. The bride is sixty-six years of age and the groom is
seventy-six. They will make this city their home.

Dec. 24, 1908 Cramer – Breitenbach
The friends of Miss Catherine Cramer, former librarian at Farnsworth Public Library in this city, and Rev. H. L. Breitenbach, former pastor of St. Paul’s German Evangelical church, will be pleased to hear of their marriage which was quietly solemnized at the home of the bride in Baraboo yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Breitenbach will go to housekeeping at once in Elmhurst, Ill., where the groom has a flat already prepared for their occupancy and will be at home to their friends after January 15. Miss Cramer left here in August 1907 to accept the
position of librarian at the Wausau public library and Mr. Breitenbach
in July 1907 to assume his duties in September as one of the instructors
in Elmhurst College and both have a host of friends here whose congratulations
and good wishes are extended to them.
Former Oconto Young Lady
Miss Maude Lucia of Green Bay and Mr. George Wildfang of Minneapolis were married last Thursday evening at the M. E. church in Green Bay. They were attended by Miss Gertrude Piper and Mr. W. H. Lucia, brother of the bride. The bride is well known here having spent her girlhood
days in this city. The groom is foreman of the large furniture plant controlled
by Theo. Remratz at Minnieapolis.
