OCONTO FALLS 

Mrs. Mary McLean and John Johnson, both of this place, were united in marriage on Thursday,
the 13th, and are at home in the house recently vacated by Ellen Johnson. 

CHASE 

The marriage of Miss Helen Margell with Mr. Emil Domina will take place at the German M. E.
Church in Chase on Feb. 16, at ten o'clock.

Oconto Falls

The wedding bells which have been faintly tinkling in the air for some time rang out loud and
strong on Wednesday evening, when Miss Edna Alvond and Arthur Seymoure were united in the
holy bonds of matrimony by Rev F. E. Beauchop, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Couillard. It
was a quiet wedding, none but the immediate friends of the family were present.  The bride was
the recipient of a number of useful presents.  The happy couple tood the evening train to Green Bay, where they will spend a few days.  They will make Oconto Falls their home.

Vernon Cole, J.P., tied the knot that made Henry Predeth and Elia Read, of the town of Peshtigo husband and wife, at his residence on Jan. 27.

Marriages

Green Bay Gazette:  Fred Whipple and Miss Annie P. Getts of this city, unknown to their relatives and friends, went to Oconto last Saturday morning and were married.  Mr. Whipple is employed by F. G. Arnold in his wood yard on the west side.  The marriage was solemnized at the residence of, and by, Rev. S. W. Ford.

Married

Miss Leola Thompson, daughter of M.C. Thompson of this city and A. H.
Strum of Chicago were married Monday morning at 8 o’clock in St.
Joseph’s church. Rev. Father Lochman officiated. The bride was attended
by Miss Norine Noonan, while George Thompson, a brother of the bride
acted as best man. The happy couple left at 2 o’clock of the same day
for Chicago, where they will make their future home. They have well
wishes of a large circle of friends.

May 13, 1898

 On May 3, at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Birr, of Morgan, Charles Hayford to Miss Alice Birr, the Rev. A. L. Reinke of Chicago offficiating.  The witnesses were Miss Emma Henning, Louis Birr, brother of the bride, Mis Minnie Birr, sister of the bride and Willie Schroeder.  After the ceremony the company adjourned to the dining-room where supper was served to about 150 friends and relatives.  After an evening spent in social games, music and friendly conversation, the guests departed to their homes, leave many tokens of the esteem in which the young people are held.
 The contracting parties are both deaf mutes and the ceremony, which was very impressive, was conducted in the sign language.  Those present from abroad were Alfred Hayford and Lucina Hayford, brother and sister of the groom, from Wrightstown, and Miss Emma Henning from Chicago.  The happy couple will make their home in Oshkosh, where the groom is employed as carver and designer for the Foster-Hafner Co.  May happiness and prosperity attend them.

Gillett.
 Married, at the home of John Stickney, at Pulcifer, Miss Edna Stickney to James Sorenson of Sorenson & Co.  The friends of the young couple wish them a long, prosperous and happy life.

LENA 

Joseph and Stephen Rosera are to be wedded on the same day - Tuesday, June 28 - the former
at St. Peter's Church, Oconto, to Miss Vina Trepanier, and Stephen to Miss Clara Collard in the
French Catholic Church in Menominee. In the evening they are to give a ball at Schoenebeck's
hall in celebration of the event. Supper will be served by Mrs. Schoenebeck. 

Marriages 

At St. Joseph's Church, by Rev. Fr. Lochman on Wednesday morning, Miss Irma Stuart,
daughter of Levi Stuart, of the South ward, to William McKeever of Leighton.

EXFORD - BELLOW - At the residence of  D. E. Whiting, in town of Oconto, on June 12, by J. B. Whiting, Exq., Miss Abbie Bellow to Hubert Exferd

KRUEGER - BRANENMEHL - In Gillett, June 8, by the Rev. Heplegger, Miss Emily Brandenmehl to William Krueger.

COX - FRANK - In the town of How, June 15, by the Rev. J. C. McClain, Miss Mamie Frank to Jesse W. Cox.

LACORD - HENRION - Joseph Lacord of the town of Little River, and Miss Sadie Henrion, of Marinette were united in holy matrimony, at the home of the bridegroom, in the town of Little River, in the presence of a large company of near relatives and friends.  Rev. K. Knudson, of Stiles, officiated.

HANSON - MEAD - At the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Peter Jamieson, on Wednesday, June 22, John P. Hanson and Miss Gracie Mead were united in wedlock.  Rev. A. J. Anderson tied the nuptial knot.  They were attended by Ambrose Wilton as best man, Miss Ella Hanson, sister of the groom, first bridesmaid, and by Peter Peterson and Miss Nellie Vert.  After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served in the arbor to thirty guests.  The presents were numberous and handsome.

PETERSON - VERT - After the above marriage had been solomnized, many of the guests repaired to the school house in Forestville and witnessed a similar ceremony - the plighting of marriage vows between Mr. Peter Peterson and Miss  Nellie Vert, the same clergyman officiating.  A wedding supper followed.  In the evening Mr. Peterson gave a dancing party in Groninger’s hall at Suring, which was attended by the numerous friends of the newly married couple.
