July 9, 1897 Married Miss Mamie Bransfield of Beaver, a niece of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Nelligan of this city, was married to H. G. Laun, of Laun Bros., Wausaukee, on Wednesday of this week. Both of the contracting parties have friends in Oconto county who wish them much joy. At the residence of the grooms mother, in Oconto, July 1, by the Rev. H. Eisenbach, Miss Ida Kroein to Willaim Kehr. August Kehr and Miss Tena Kehr acted as best man and bridesmaid. At the residence of George W. Ruegg, in the town of Little River, July 4, by John P. Marek, J. P., Miss Mary Baxter to Elmer Ruegg, both of Talbot, Mich. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jargerson and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson of Talbot, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ruegg of Menominee. In Oconto, July 1, by Justice O'Keefe, Miss Bertha Kelfert of Oconto to Wm. Grotendorst of School Section. John Tourtlotte and Miss Mary Grotendorst acted as best man and bridesmaid. On Tuesday morning, at St. Joseph's Church, by Rev.
Fr. Lochman, Miss Mary Despan to Gilbert Fabry.

September 17, 1897 contributor: Richard LaBrosse Sept. 9, at the residence of the officiating clergyman, Rev. S.W. Ford married Miss Olga Neilson to Fred Rasmussen; both of this city. Miss Matilda Demaur and James O’Neill, Oconto Falls,
were married Monday morning at the Catholic Church.

October 1, 1897 researched by Richard LaBrosse In Oconto, Sept. 22, by the Rev. E. Eisenbach, Miss Emma Alt of the town of Chase was married to Albert Hidde of Oconto. The happy couple enjoyed a bridal tour to Milwaukee. Their home is in Oconto. Miss Anna C. Gunderson and Richard Kiehl, both of Oconto,
were united in marriage Sept. 29 by the Rev. S. W. Ford at the residence
of Mr. Charles Kiehl in Oconto.

October 8, 1897 Marriages By Rev. Z. F. Blakely, at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Redfield of the town of Pensaukee, on Sept. 30, 1897, John Moses Williams and Mary Blanche McGraw, all of Oak Orchard. A gathering of the immediate relatives enjoyed a social time and a bountiful wedding supper. Mr. William’s is a thrifty young farmer and has a pleasant home adjoining the bride's old home, which will be beautifully graced by its new occupant. Their many friends wish them much happiness. Mrs. Mata M. Reynolds of Oconto and Fred Henderson
of Stiles were married Sept. 16 at the residence of Rev S.W. Ford by Rev.
Robert Ingraham. The couple have taken up their home in the town
of Stiles.

October 15, 1897 At St. Joseph’s Church in Oconto, Oct. 5, Miss Sarah Swear of Pensaukee was married to William Bero of Porterfield. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Fr. Lockman. Miss Tillie M. Johnson of Oconto and Charles Aarseth
of Chicago were married in the latter city on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

Nov. 19, 1897 MOUNTAIN. James Yansen of Mountain and Miss Emma Burker of Gillett
were married at the home off the bride's parents in the town of Gillett
in the 11th inst. The happy couple returned to Mountain, where they will
make their home. They gave a wedding dance in the town hall the night of
the 13th, where the "light fantastic was toe" was tripped till the wee
small hours.
