Collision takes the life of Donald Meleski Sunday.

Donald Meleski, 22, was born May 12, 1925, at Lena.  After graduation with the Lena high school class of 1943, he entered military service and was with the Navy from June 29, 1943, until his discharge on February 28, 1946.  He served overseas during the war.  Since his discharge he had been employed by the Coleman Drug and School Supply Company, operated by his uncle Frank Meleski.

Funeral services were conducted at nine thirty a.m. Wednesday in St. Charles Church with the Rev. Labno officiating with burial in the church cemetery.  Military rites were conducted at the cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers were Tony Frigo, Kenneth Lemorande, Charles Kramer, George Glime, Melvin Kobes and Maynard Ausloos.  Active pallbearers were William and Peter Pylteski, Joseph Bestcha Jr., Eben Dufek, Dan Mathey and Clem Harley.

The young man is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Meleski, one sister, one brother, his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Pries of Oconto Falls, and his paternal grandfather, Stanley Meleski.  He is the nephew of Mrs. Donald McIlre of this City.
