Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blank, Park Avenue, received worked Thursday morning, January 28, that their only son, Ralph Charles Blank, was killed in action in New Guinea on December 26.

Sudden death came to Edward L. Morris, 51, at Oconto last Saturday morning following a heart attack.  Mr. Morris was employed as bookkeeper at the Holt Shoe Factory.

Mrs. James Slang received word of the death of her sister, Hannah, on Sunday, January 17.  She was well known in Maple Valley, having been born and raised there.
