September 17, 1942 Researched and contributed by Richard La Brosse George Kain, 62, who
died at Green Bay Thursday, was buried Saturday morning. Inerment
was in the Oconto Catholic cemetery.

October 1 1942 researched by Richard LaBrosse Funeral services were held at Joseph’s church Monday
morning at nine for Louis Marek, 59, who died at the Oconto hospital at
eleven thirty last Friday morning.

October 8, 1942 Researched and contributed by Richard La Brosse Word was received here of the death of Sister Ermalinda
(Gertrude Hyer) 63, on Sunday. She was a superior at St. Peter’s
convent twice and left here six years ago for the House of Retreat, Nazareth,
St. Louis, Mo.

October 15, 1942 Funeral services were held from the Gallagher funeral
home Thursday afternoon for Judith Lee Hassenfeldt, 2, who was a victim
of a tragic drowning accident in Michigan. Judith Lee was the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hassenfelt, formerly of Oconto.
With his death in an out of town hospital attributed to a lingering illness, Ray C. Klass, 53, of Oconto succumbed last Thursday, Oct. 8, and the body was returned to Oconto where funeral services were held Monday morning. The many friends of Mrs. Henry Youngs, 54, were saddened
last Friday morning at the news that death had claimed the life of the
Oconto woman at seven a.m.

December 17, 1942 Mrs. Bernard Stork, 27, passed away at the local hospital
at four am on December 11, Funeral services were conducted at the
Zion Lutheran church in Oconto.
