Gillett, was found dead by her son, Ellsworth Saturday morning when he
returned home from work at seven. Death was caused by a heart attack.

at seven. Death followed an operation for ruptured appendix submitted
to three weeks ago.

October 1, 1937 researched by Richard LaBrosse Herman Gustave Bostedt, 70, a former Oconto resident and business man, passed away Tuesday afternoon in Marinette. Death followed a four months illness. Joseph Skola, 68, veteran of numerous wars, was found
dead Sunday from a heart attack at his bachelor home in Townsend.

October 8, 1937 researched, transcribed and contributed by Richard LaBrosse Christian Miller, 81, passed away this morning at one at the Kenny brothers home, town of Oconto, where he made his home. He had been in poor health for two years. Dr. and Mrs. F.J. Stevens left Tuesday evening for
Milwaukee. Dr. Stevens was called by the sudden death of his father
Francis E. Stevens, Sr., 71.

October 15, 1937 researched by Richard LaBrosse Charles Petersen, 55, life long resident of Oconto, passed away Monday evening at the Oconto hospital. Death followed a weeks illness due to pneumonia. William Luebeck, 43, resident of Suring, died at three thirty Sunday afternoon at a Green Bay hospital of injuries received about six o’clock in the evening when he was struck by a car at Suring. Funeral services are being held for Hugo Gipp, 61,
of the town of How, who passed away Saturday morning at a Shawano hospital.

October 22, 1937 An investigation is being conducted by Corner J.S. Dougherty into the death of James Sucharda, 48, Oconto, who died almost instantly of injuries received when he was struck on the highway shortly after six Saturday night. On Saturday, Oct. 16, at 8:50 p.m., death claimed an
aged Oconto county resident for more than 60 years. Thomas Christ
Johnson, 99. Death occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph
Ziereis in the town of Armstrong.

December 17, 1937 Injuries received when he was struck by a hit and run
driver near Elmwood, Ill. Tuesday, proved fatal to Arthur L. Meritt, 57,
Oconto resident and former owner of the two local theatres, who passed
away at a Canton, Ill, hospital Wednesday.

December 21, 1937 Mrs. Orville Adams, Iron Mountain, Mich., formerly Florence Beekman, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Antone Beekman, Oconto, died at the Oconto hospital Tuesday afternoon as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident at Abrams shortly before noon Tuesday. Funeral services for Mrs. Herbert Colson, 64, who passed away at four Sunday morning at her home on Jones Avenue. Services were held for Willie Baldwin, 80, Mountain,
who passed away on Friday, December 17 at three in the morning.
