Henry Cole died at his home in this city Monday evening at 6:00 from a 
paralytic stroke. Mr. Cole was born April 14, 1848 at Clinton, Maine and 
came to Wisconsin in 1866. He was married to Mary E. Howe, August 15, 
1868 and nine children, were born to them.
He lived at Belle Plaine until about 10 years ago, when he moved to this 
city. Mr. Cole had been in poor health for the last 2 years. He is 
survived by his wife and the following children; Mrs. C. B. Huntington 
of Gresham, Mrs. Geo. Bryant of Milwaukee, Mrs. Gus Carney of Nekoosa 
and Francis, Charles, Louis and Elmer all of Shawano.
Funeral services were held from the residence Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM.
 

Mr. & Mrs. Barney Newcomb of Townsend were among those from a distance 
to attend the Cole funeral Friday. Mrs. Newcomb is a sister of Mr. Cole.
