Friday May 10, 1907 contributed by Richard LaBrosse John S. Gifford, a pioneer settler of the town of Chase and a veteran of the civil war, died Sunday at his home near Sampson of pneumonis, aged 70 years. He is survived by five daughters and two sons. Mrs. Angeline Belongia died Monday morning (May 6) at her home in the town of Oconto. Marie Angeline, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Vanderbush died Monday (May 6) of pneumonia, aged four months. The child
had been adopted about a week before her death from St. Mark's Charity
Home in Green Bay. The funeral was held at St. Joseph Church.
