REPORTED DEATHS IN OLD OCONTO COUNTY 1901 |
Oconto County Reporter
January 18, 1901 Jacob Spies, Sr., one of Oconto's first settlers died
at Iola Wednesday morning. The remains were brought to Oconto and placed
in the residence of his son, Jacob, where funeral services will be held
Sunday afternoon.

Friday, March 29, 1901 contributed by Richard LaBrosse Death Notice: Mrs. Paul Grunert of Oconto, Wisconsin,
died Saturday, march 23, 1901. She was born in Buffalo, New York July 23,
1849. She is survivied by her husband and four daughters; Mrs. John Flatley
of Oconto Falls, Carrie of Green Bay, Helen and Emma of Oconto; three sons,
charles, Louis, and Paul and one grandchild, Eva Cool. Funeral services
were held at St. Mark's Church, Fr. Duffy officiating. Burial was at Evergreen
Cemetery.

December 6, 1901 Mrs. Adeline Couillard died at her home in Couillardville
last Monday night.
Mrs. Thomas McKee of School Section, who has been sick
the past three months, died at her home Monday evening. She leaves
to mourn a husband and three sons, William, Elmer and Samuel.
Charles Butler died at his home in Maple Valley Sunday,
December 1. He is survived by his widow and three sons, Joseph, Wilbur
and Burt.
