There were several Hartman family groups and individuals living in Oconto County from the 1880's on. Your help is needed to "fill in the blanks" and add to their histories. Please contact site coordinator: Project and Web Site Coordinator - RITA

(Please see obituary to the left) Story is that Emma Hartman was delivered by a midwife who never recorded her birth.  Her parents Peter and Marie (Zitzer) Hartmann supposedly were living on a farm near Green Bay when Emma was born.
I am trying to determine her place of birth, i.e., the town and a possible address.  I see you have some records fm the Zion Ev. Lutheran Church of Chase.  I know it is a long shot but maybe they contain some info re Emma.  I understand in 1928 the records fm the Chase church were merged with those of the Peace Lutheran south of Kunesh.  Unfortunately those records are lost.   David Hartman
