Hazel C. Keller, 89, of Peshtigo, was taken to her eternal home on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Rennes Health Care Center East. Hazel was born on July 29, 1919, in Milwaukee, to the late Arthur and Amanda (Zoellner) Lehman.

Hazel was a graduate of Marinette High School in 1938. She married Leonard Gypp on July 29, 1938.Together they owned and operated Gypp's Beauty Shop on 23rd Ave. in Menominee. Leonard preceded her in death on January 22, 1975. Hazel married Martin W. Keller on April 14, 1979, in Marinette. Hazel and Martin both enjoyed dancing, and they became a well-known couple as avid golfers and bowlers. Hazel was a long-time member and officer in the Menominee Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and was elected to the Women's Bowling Hall of Fame in 1991.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Martin; her children: Gerald (Mary) Gypp of Summerfield, Fla., Leonard (Geraldine) Gypp of Clermont, Fla., Joe (Sandy) Gypp of Menominee, Toni (Rob) Luedtke of Peshtigo. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Greg Gypp, Robyn (Edju) Ewasko, James (fiancé Sandy) and Michael (Kimberlee) Gypp, Jodi (Tom) Barrette and Mark (Janelle) Gypp; and her 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Martin's children: Michael E. Keller of Appleton and Karen K. (Allen) England of Peshtigo and their sons, Tyler England and Justin (Lisa) England; two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 221 South Ellis Avenue, Peshtigo, with Rev. David Zahn officiating, Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until time of services.

Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette. A memorial fund has been established in Hazel's name. Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
