Mary Ann Roach married James
C. Doran (1847-1934), my great-grandfather
John's brother, Dec. 1, 1875
in Oconto. My great-grandparents, John Doran
(1847-1936) and Julia Feeney
(1857-1945) were married in Oconto in 1876.
Julia's sister Barbara Feeney
was married to John (Jack) Ratchford in the
same city in 1879. Her brother
Peter married Marie (Mayme) Burke. Their
parents Peter Sr. (1831-1881)
and Mary Walsh Feeney (1834-1916), my 2nd
great-grandparents, are buried
in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Oconto.

"MOTHER OF LOCAL MAN DIES TODAY
Mrs. Mary Doran, wife
of James Doran of 611 Williams Ave., Menominee, died
this morning at 5 o'clock at
her home. Mrs. Doran had been in failing health
since she fell and broke her
hip about four years ago, but death resulted
from heart trouble. Her final
illness was of four months duration.
Mary McKeever Doran was
born in Oconto, Wis., on January 18, 1857. On
December 1, 1875, she was married
in Oconto to James Doran and together they
came to Menominee in 1883. They
have resided there continually during the
past forty-five years. The survivors
are the husband, the following
children, John H. Doran of Marinette,
Herbert J., Edward C., and Miss
Frances J. Doran of Menominee,
and Roy F. Doran of Chicago, two sisters,
Mrs. Patrick Curley of Stiles,
Wis., Mrs. Robert Telford of Milwaukee, a
brother, George McKeever of
Milwaukee, and eighteen grandchildren. Another
brother, William McKeever of
Oconto Falls, died on April 17, at a sanitarium
in Milwaukee where he was receiving
treatment.
The body was removed
to the Lemieux Funeral Home and will be taken back to
the family home Saturday afternoon
at 2 o'clock. Funeral services will be
held Monday morning from St.
John's church and the Very Rev. Father Dennis
Cleary will officiate. Interment
will be at Riverside.
Mrs. Doran was a member
of the Altar Society of St. John's church and was
also a member of St. Mary's
Court of Foresters.

"FUNERALS
DORAN
A solemn requiem high
mass was solemnized this morning at St. John's
church, Menominee upon the occasion
of the funeral of Mrs. James Doran, who
died last week. The cortege
formed at the family home at 8:20 and proceeded
to the church where the mass
was offered at 8:30 by the Rev. Father Dennis
Cleary, assisted by the Rev.
Father F. G. Tulley and the Rev. Father Peter
Salm of Marinette.
The room in which the
casket lay at the Doran home was filled with
beautiful floral tributes, silent
tokens of the high esteem in which the
decedent was held by her many
friends. Six members of St. Mary's Court of
Foresters, acted as honorary
pallbearers. They were Mrs. Hinker, Mrs. Seidl,
Mrs. Wachowiak, Mrs. Stauber,
Mrs. Coakley and Mrs. Seidl. The active
pallbearers were Frank, Lawrence
and Tom Barrett, R. J. Mullins, F. A.
Wachowiak and Ed. Buckley. Interment
was made at Riverside, the casket being
encased in a steel vault and
consigned to a grave lined with cedar.
