By 1900 the
family lived in Stephenson Township, Menominee County, Michigan, US. Silas
Brien's family was living with his widowed mother who apparently remarried
after his birth.

By 1910 the family
had moved back to Oconto County and owned a farm near Octavia's family
(please see the Degenette/Degeneff families line 9 through 16 on the first
1910 Census page).
Octavia has by now
given birth to 9 children, with 7 children still living in 1910.

and Octavia Brien were living in Norway, Dickinson County, Michigan, US.
No more children were added to the family since Arthur in Wisconsin 11
years earlier. Silas is a laborer, now age 49 years. (Please see the 1910

1930 Silas and Octavia
Brien are living in Delta, Bark River County, Michigan, US. Mother of Silas
is living with them, old widow Victoria Tobordon (another marriage and
husband's death - Victoria has no luck with husbands). Son Ivan is also
living with them. Silas is now the section forman for the Railroad. Note
that they live next to the Degeneffe family.
