The reporting of births was haphazard at best in the early years. Not all issues of past newspapers have been saved to microfilm, however, every effort is being made to research what is available for this collection. Our goal is to help in researching ancestors and add a sense of history. This page is a continuing effort and will be added to, often, as more research is completed.
An 11 pound boy arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Stern a few days ago. The event has caused something of a flurry about the place for a time, but the world is beginning to look natural again to Theodore and his face is now beaming with a voluptuous, winning smile.
Stiles – A cheeky little stranger, weighing 11 pounds, entered the home of Dan Ryan last week. Of course the little fellow will make home happier, patience greater, hands busier, nights longer, days shorter, purse lighter, etc., etc.
Gillett – Mr. John Howell, one of our prominent townsmen, was again made happy by the arrival of a little girl, who came there to stay a week ago last Sunday. Mother and child doing nicely.
Abrams – Hello! Much sickness and death has suppressed the usual good nature of the Abrams people, but in all rejoice that George Sargent is daddy. A fine boy. George thinks a full thousand would be a small sum to offer for his heir.
Stiles – March the 14th Mrs. Herman Brunke presented her husband with a plump little girl. Mr. B. is highly elated over the advent of his first born, and the smile on his face spread clear around Stiles.
Abrams – A little daughter was born on St. Patrick ’s Day, to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davis. Mother and child are doing well.
