Funeral of Thomas Valliere, Old Time Resident, Is Held Monday Afternoon.

The funeral of Thomas Valliere, an old and well known resident of Grover, whose death occurred Friday morning, was held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon from the family home in Grover, the Rev. A. O. Nuss, pastor of the M. E. church conducting the funeral services. The Rev. and Mrs. Nuss and Mrs. Miller sang "Oh, Think of the Home Over There", "Going Down the valley, one By One" and "Rock of Ages".

The casket was carried by old time friends of the decedent being Dougal Thompson, Mose Roderique and George Leisure of this city. Walter Drewery, Michael Kelly and Frank Dupuie of Grover. Internment took place at Riverside cemetery in Peshtigo beside his wife, who preceded him in death. Thomas Valliere was born in Quebec, Canada, June 30, 1852, his death occurring Friday morning, January 3, when he dropt in the yard, death occurring immediately after. He was 66 years, 6 months and 13 days of age at the time of his demise. He was a survivor of the Peshtigo fire of 1871.
