SPRUCE, Wis.— Two sons of Mrs. Victoria Pytleski of Spruce are across the continent from each other in the Navy. William J. a seaman 1/c (first class), is in training at Melville, R.I., while Peter J., a seaman 2/c, completed boot training at Farragut, Idaho, and has been transferred to Camp Parks, Calif.

(Note:William "Bill" Pytleski served on PT boat RON 39 (
MOTOR TORPEDO BOAT SQUADRON abbreviation). Bill served in the U.S. Navy in the Southwest Pacific, Philippines and Burma from November 1943 to June 1936, achieving the rank of seaman as a torpedo man.

Their father, Henry Pytleski [January 1, 1894 - December 1, 1937], served in World War I:
