Born: 16 Apr 1817. Lafourche, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana
Death:  08 Oct 1871  - Perished in the fire while returning to the Hotel on Sunday night when the Fire struck.  They found her ashes the next day.  Beneath her was her pie plate engraved (Emily), which was the only way of identifying her ashes. She had been to her son Antoine Thomas Bruette's home for Sunday dinner while Antoine (Sr.) was watching the Hotel . Antone escaped to the river. Told to me by Ed Bruette
