This Indenture made the fourth day of June in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Four Between Thomas HART of the County of Frederick in Virginia of the one Part and Matgar INGLE of the County of Lanchaster (Lancaster) in the Provence (Province) of Penclveny (Pennsylvania) Sadler of the other part Witnesseth That the said Thomas HART for and in Consideration of the sum of five shillings Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Malgar INGLE at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt hereof is Hereby Acknowledged Hath granted Bargained and Sold and by these presents doth grant Bargain and Sell unto the Said Malgar INGLE a certain Piece parcel or tract of Land Containing one hundred & Five acres Being part of a greater piece parcel or tract of Land of Two Hundred and Sixty Eight acres of Land granted to the Said Tomas HART by Deed from the Proprietor Office of the Northern Neck bearing date the second day of January in the twenty Seventh year of our Sovereign Lord

The King and bounded as follows Viz: Beginning at two Hickorys Standing in Samuel DARKS line and Running With the same said S64 deg E’t one hundred and Sixty Poles to two Black Oak Saplings the Said DARKS corner and then leaving his line and the Course Continued Eighty poles to two white oaks Standing in the Said HARTs Line

And then running with his Lines S82 West one hundred and fifty seven poles to two white oaks and Hickory Saplings Standing amongst Rocks a corner to and Other Tract of Land Surveyed for the said HART and then with The line of the Said other tract the Course Continued Eighty seven poles to a stake and then to the Beginning and all houses Buildings Orchards ways waters water Courses Profits Commodities Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Premises hereby Granted or any Part thereof Belonging to in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainder Rents Issues and Profit thereof To Have and to Hold the Said one Hundred and five acres of Land and all and Singular other the premises hereby Granted with the Appurtenances unto the said Malgar ENGLE his Executors Administrators and Assigns from The day before the Date hereof for and during the full Term and time of one whole year from thence next Ensuing fully to be completed and Ended yielding and Paying therefore the Rent of one pepper corn on Lady Day next if the same Shall be Lawfully demanded to the Intent and Purpose that by Virtue of these presents and of the Statute for transferring Uses into Possession The said Malgar INGLE may be in Actual possession of the Premises and be thereby enabled to except and Take a grant and Release of the Reversions and Inheritance thereof to him and his heirs In Witness where of the Said Thomas HART hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year first above written.

At a Court Continued and Held for Frederick County

on Wednesday the 5th Day of June 1754

Thomas HART in Open Court Acknowledged this his Lease for Land to Malgar INGLE which on the motion of the said Malgar was admitted to Record.
