Deed - Abril to Miller to Shade


A deed book from Frederick County, Virginia records a deed dated February 5, 1798 to Casper Miller of Frederick County., "150 acres on a branch of Sleepy Creek on Plank Cabin Ridge, it being the same land which was sold November 10, 1796 by Henry Garner to the said Jacob Abril and Cassandra his wife."

Between Jacob Abrel and Cassandra, his wife, of County of Frederick to Gasper Miller of the same place, consideration of one hundred and ten pounds, tract of land containing on hundred and fifty acres situate lying and being on the head drains of Sam's Run, a branch of Sleepy Creek and on the Plank Cabin Ridge adjoining Robt. Litteral, Peter Dick, Samuel Burton and a late survey made for Capt. Elisha Boyd to said Jacob Abrel the 10th November 1796 witnessed by Jesse Pugh, Samuel Ferguson and Elizabeth Gore at a court held for said county the 3 January 1797 was in part proved by the Oaths of the Witnesses.

A deed book from Frederick County, Virginia records a mortgage dated October 13, 1821 on this land, and some personal property for a debt of $151.18, due on October 13, 1825.

Casper Miller and Barbara, his wife, of the first part and Jacob Shade of the second part and William Gore, of the third part, trustee, all of Frederick County, Virginia, reciting that Casper Miller is indebted to Jacob Shade Jr. in the amount of $151.18, due 13 October 1825 and in order to secure the same he gives deed of trust on 150 acres on Pack Horse Road, (note was dated 13 October 1821); also on stock and some household goods. This statement is signed:

A deed book from Frederick County, Virginia records the sale of this 150 acres to Jacob Shade Jr., for $600.00, current money of Virginia, on June 15, 1822.

Caspar Miller and Barbara, his wife, of Frederick County sell to Jacob Shade Jr., for $600.00 current money of Virginia, 150 acres of land, same as mortgaged 13 October 1821.
