Dr. Urban Hartman NORRIS and wife Ellen Dorthia THUNNISON had a daughter, Alta Afton NORRIS, born 31 Jan 1910 in Castleton-Moab, Grand Co., UT. Dr. NORRIS is said to have been famous in UT and that some hospital wing is named for him. I do not know the city of the hospital. Could it be in Grand Co. since Alta was born in same? I'm looking for a map that would show "Little Grand RR Station" somewhere on the old Denver & Rio Grand RR line. It could be in the current area of Floy Junction (exit 173 off of Hi 70). My great grandparents (James Abner Higgins & Sarah Avilda Packer) were married there 14 April 1888. Is there any history of the D&RR during this time period for this area? I'm compiling history on J.A. Higgins and want to include local Grand Co. & Railroad history. Thanks

Vauna Marie Clow married Roy Humphreys 1941 in Moab, Grand County, Utah. They were living in Colorado and I think they married in Utah because her folks were living there then. Would like more info on George F. Clow and Sarah Belle Earp Clow. Believe Sarah died maybe 1934-1938 in Utah, maybe Grand County? Thanks for any help. Sharon

I am trying to locate Douglass K. Bridges, a former resident of Moab, Utah. He is the son of William Thomas Bridges, a former resident of Fort Worth, Texas. Douglass was married to Ruth Bridges who died in Grand County, Utah 22 May 1996. I believe Doug was a communications officer on oil tankers sailing between Valdez, Alaska and California. He is reported to have remarried and has apparently moved to parts unknown. Anyone in Moab knowing his whereabouts can contact me either by e-mail or telephone @ (915)684-7355.
