PHILLIPS GRAVES
Matagorda Peninsula
 

These graves are located on Matagorda Peninsula in a stand of cedar trees.

 There is a marker for Thomas Arthur and the family believes that the two sisters are buried near him since the family was living on the peninsula at the time of their deaths.

Thomas Arthur Phillips September 28, 1874 - January 21, 1884 [Thomas was drowned  when he became entangled in the reins of a team of horses and was pulled into the Gulf.]

Amy Phillips born and died March 12, 1876

Ruth Phillips September 20, 1882 - September 26, 1882

All were children of John B. Phillips, Jr. and Lucy F. Swartz Phillips.
