417 Chest X-Rays Are Taken: Bishop Quinn Has Service

Everyone who had time to give to the X-ray work this week did so with gratitude and a keen appreciation of what having this privilege at our doors can mean to our towns and the Tidehaven School District.

These chest X-ray films will be finished in Austin. In a short time each person will have mailed to him a postcard stating that there is nothing wrong with him—it that be the case.

Of if the film shows that there is a spot on the lungs caused from tuberculosis, cancer, or scars from past pneumonia—also enlarged heart—a sealed letter will be sent to the persons having such conditions and a copy will be sent to their personal physicians.

It will of course be advisable to see your doctor at once in case of an adverse report from the Texas State Health Association.

Miss Ayers, Matagorda County Health Nurse, and Mrs. R. D. Rimmer, Secretary of the Matagorda County Tuberculosis Association, were present part of the day during the chest X-rays in the Blessing Community House.

They both expressed themselves as well pleased with the 415 attendance.

This work was done under the auspices of County Health Unit and Dr. G. E. Williams of Bay City.

The Chest X-Ray Committee and workers wish to thank the pastors of all churches in Blessing, Ashby, Midfield, and Markham for their congregations preliminary to the Health Survey.

Among those assisting the two technicians and with publicity were George K. Nelson, Lindsey Rickaway, Earl Adams Sr., Lee M. Pierce, Mel Lee, James Rickaway, Suds Tobola, J. B. Smith, Ben H.
