RYMAN FAMILY BIBLE
 

This family register was copied from a Bible in the possession of Eldridge B. Ryman of Lufkin who is the grandson of Boltes Ryman and Jennie Williams Ryman. The Bible entitled, The Devotional Practical Polyglott Family Bible. It was published in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1870 by the National Publishing Company, Jones, Junkin, & Co., Chicago, Illinois. The Bible has sustained water damage over the years, as it has weathered many Matagorda hurricanes.
 

THIS CERTIFIES THAT THE RITE OF HOLY MATRIMONY WAS CELEBRATED BETWEEN Boltes Ryam of Matagorda, Texas and Jennie Williams of Matagorda, Texas on December 8, 1881 at Mrs. Williams by Mr. Ives.
