Little Kentucky

Little Kentucky has grown so fast that two teachers could not teach all the pupils and do justice to them. The trustees are adding a new teacher. Mrs. Georgia Fulk of Ganado has been employed as their new teacher.

Some improvement has been made in this school at the beginning of school. New cabinets for lunches and wraps, and wood boxes for each room have been built. This is the only school in the county that has wood boxes. This is a good idea as it helps to keep the floors clean and add much to the appearance of the rooms.

The pupils seemed to be enthusiastic over our honor system. They are doing a lot of outside home work. Much interest was being manifested in Nature Work. Each pupil was trying to win more honors than any one else and win the name of being the honor pupil of the school.

The school rooms were very clean and attractive. The walls were decorated with pictures, flags and school trophies. All of this makes the Little Kennedy school a very attractive little school and it has a charm to all visitors.

The superintendent was called on to make a talk to the whole school. The pupils were attentive and orderly during the talk.

Christmas is just around the corner and by the time this is red it will be here.

Everyone in school is busy preparing for our Christmas program. The spirit of Christmas is really in the air.

Teachers, pupils and Mrs. Kraus, our pianist, met at the school house Friday evening for a night rehearsal. It was a success except for the fact that a few boys got a few days ahead of time and thought it was really Christmas Eve. We have come to this conclusion judging from the fireworks they exhibited. Boys, be careful! We may tell Santa to leave you a switch tied with a pretty red ribbon.
