Moore Cemetery

 

This list was compiled by Maurice Cotham "Possum" Shelby. His list included the following note.

There was a Masonic Lodge on the Christopher Columbus Moore land in Morales, Texas. Before he died, Christopher Columbus Moore expressed the wish to be buried at the northeast corner of the lodge building. He died in Morales in December 1873 and was the first grave in the Moore Cemetery.
