Children of 1st marriage:
Hugh C. and John K. Colson

Children of 2nd marriage:
Arnett S., James Law, William Darden, Seaborn/Samuel Wayne, and Minnie L. Colson

Enlisted in Company E, 3rd Alabama Calvary from Aug 1863 to Dec. 1863. Place of enlistment was Mobile, Alabama. He was shot in the hip on December 12, 1863 at Russellville, TN. He was a resident of Roans Prairie in Grimes County when he applied for his pension.
Pension Application

William and Amanda are probably buried at Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in unmarked graves. Included in Amanda's widow's Confederate pension application is a mortuary statement that says she was to be buried at "Iola Cemetery"
