Sherman - June Winkels 76, passed away Monday April 7, 2014 in Sherman, Texas.  
Ella June Hawkins was born  June 1, 1937 in Kilgore, Texas, daughter of Oran and Gladys Blagg Hawkins.  She was one of nine children.
June loved her family beyond measure and enjoyed every minute that she had with them.  She always had fun in life and could brighten the room with her wonderful smile.  June has lived in the community since 1973, and attended Wood Street Church of Christ for 10 years, and for the last year has attended Pottsboro Church of Christ.
Mrs. Winkels is survived by husband, Bryant Winkels; 2 sons, Michael Huckaby and Robert Huckaby; daughter, Donna Huckaby West; 7 grandchildren, Michael Huckaby, Jr., Jason Ritchie, Tammy Ritchie (Horn), Christy Huckaby (Fuchs), Taylor Huckaby and Jamie Huckaby; 9 great-grandchildren, Naomi Huckaby, Matthew Huckaby, Alexander Ritchie, Emily Ritchie, Lucy Ritchie, Ariel Nore, Trenton Horn, Peyton Fuchs, and Ryan Handy; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Ella Rosewell and Ian Rosewell; 4 sisters, Peggy Prestridge, Jean Branum, JoAnn Dunman, and Jannie Philley; 2 brothers, Jerry Hawkins and Jack Hawkins; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years, Robert Huckaby; her parents; and 2 brothers, Jimmy Hawkins and Larry Hawkins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Winkels were held Wednesday afternoon, April 9, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Greg Knight officiating.  Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.  Services were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.
