Business Man's Body with Pistol Near By.

Special to the News - Sherman, Texas - Oct 23 -"H. R. Bobbitt, 62, former wealthy Sherman business man, was found dead in his room on South Crockett street Saturday afternoon shortly after 5 o'clock. Three bullet holes in his left breast and a small automatic pistol was found near him.
Justice of the Peace W. M. Blaylock held an inquest and rendered a decision that he came to his death from gunshot wounds, self-inflicted.
He left a note giving instructions for his burial. In the note he said that when he returned to Sherman from Louisiana in 1918 he was worth more than $500,000 but had met with financial reverses.
Mr. Bobbitt left Grayson County at the age of 22 years and went to Louisiana, where he engaged in railroad construction work, and amassed quite a fortune. In the meantime he had made numerous investments in Sherman and Grayson County and returned to this city eight years ago.
A brother, Gus Bobbitt, who had been a Deputy United States Marshal in the old Indian Territory and later in Oklahoma, was killed near his farm in Southern Oklahoma about seven years ago. Four men charged in connection with the slaying were taken from the jail at Ada, Ok., and hanged."
