L. O. BLANTON (JR.) DIES IN HOME
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.
 Tuesday in Daniel Funeral Chapel for L. O. Blanton Jr., 59, long time Sherman rancher and real estate man, who died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in his home on Route 2.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. 
Mr. Blanton
was born Aug. 9, 1904, in Saint Jo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Blanton Sr.  He came to Grayson County from Dallas in 1937. 
Property where the Western Hills housing development is located was formerly owned by Mr.
Blanton. 
Surviving him are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Peter J. Ferini of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Bob Euring of Durant, Okla; his mother of Sherman, two brothers, Don Blanton of Dallas and Roy Blanton of Gainesville; one sister, Mrs. H. E. DeLee of Corpus Christi; four grandchildren, and one nephew.

MARY BLANTON - Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in West Hill Cemetery for Mary Taliaferro Blanton, 72, a retired teacher, of 1205 Western Hills, who died Friday in a Sherman hospital.  Rev. Jack Gibson of the First United Methodist Church will officiate assisted by Rev. James W. Gerrard of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.  Burial will be under the direction of Dannel and Horton Funeral Home.  
Born in Madill, Okla, she was the daughter of William N. and Mary Eliza Null Tallaferro.  She moved to Sherman at the age of 12, attended Sherman schools, Randolph- Macon College and the University of Oklahoma.  She was married to L.O. Blanton Jr. in Sherman.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Sherman Service League, Current Book Review Club, Pi Beta Phi Sorority and was a board member of Grayson County Society for Crippled Children and Adults. 
Surviving are step-daughters, Mrs. Donnita Rhodes of Santa Maria, Calif., and Mrs. Bob Ewing of Durant, Okla.  // Pallbearers will be great-nephews.  Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. 
The family will be at the residence, 1205 Western Hills.
