Services for James Lee Cross, age 58, of Sherman, Texas were held Saturday afternoon, January 30, 2010 at the Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, Texas. Pastor Raymond England officiated and the burial followed at the West Hill Cemetery.
James passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas.
He was born on July 23, 1951, in Honey Grove, Texas, son of Donald and Dorothy Nell Jones Cross. James married Dorothy Bateman on November 17, 1980 in Sherman. He was a member of the Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison.
James is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cross of Sherman, Texas; son, James Cross, Jr. and wife, Monica, of Sherman; 3 grandchildren, Aaron Cross, Matthew Cross and Johnathan Cross; brother, Johnny Cross and wife, Betty, of Dallas; sisters, Doris Cross of Sherman; Abigale White and husband, Maxey, of Dallas; Brenda Cross of Sherman; brothers, David Cross and wife, Tommie, of Sherman; Michael Cross and wife, Opal, of Sherman; Randy Cross of Sherman; and Ricky Cross of San Francisco, California. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive him.
