Funeral service were Thursday afternoon at the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman. Burial was in the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.

Boyd, 63, died Tuesday in Medical City Hospital Dallas of a heart condition.
The native of Commerce, Hunt County, received his bachelor's degree from East Texas State University. He received his medical degree from Southwest Medical School in Dallas.  Boyd served his residency at Lisbon Veterans Administration Hospital in Dallas. During World War II, he worked at the United States Marine Hospital in New York. 
In 1952, Boyd moved to Sherman, where he began his work in the Sherman hospitals. 
He was a member of the Grayson County Medical Society and the Texas Radiology Society. 
Boyd also was a member of the First Christian Church in Sherman, where he was on the deacon board. 
He is survived by his wife, Doris; a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Espeseth of Sacramento, California; two sons, Arthur Marcus Boyd of Dallas and Robert Mack Boyd of Arlington; his mother, Vivian Boyd Bledsoe of Sherman; two brothers, Dr. James Bledsoe of Dallas and Paul Bledsoe of Florida, and a sister, Katherine Coats of Greenville, Hunt County.

Doris Boyd Wilcox passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, December 28, 2012 in Sherman. She was 90 years of age. Funeral services were at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Sherman, Texas on Friday morning, January 4, 2013. Officiating wias Fr. Robert McBride, retired Anglican priest of Dallas. Interment was at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
Pallbearers were Arthur Marcus Boyd, Robert Mack Boyd, Sean Rolfe Josephson, Jacob Josephson, David Kerr Wilcox and Aiden Wilcox. Honorary pallbearers were Harry Smith, Emmett Essen, Keith Hubbard, Chuck Phelps, Ben Munson, John Munson, Peter Munson, Richard Munson and Felix Munson.
Doris was born on May 15, 1922 to Benjamin Barto Cobb and Berta Keith Cobb in Greenville. She graduated from Greenville High School and then attended College at Texas A&M-Commerce where she met Arthur Marsalis Boyd, M.D. whom she married. They moved to Sherman and lived there until his death.
Later she married Wilson Edison (Bill) Wilcox and then moved to Denison until his death. She loved to travel and explore the world. She was a member of the Sherman Service League and Needlework Guild, Denison Performing Arts, Mona Drama Club and Rejabian Book Club as well as former member of the Shakespeare Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Barto Cobb and Berta Keith Cobb; daughter, Rebecca Boyd Espeseth; and son, John Gilford Wilcox; her siblings, Billie Frances Swint, Leta Duval, Laura Hutchins, Lynn Watt and brother Benjamin Barta Cobb Jr.
She is survived by sons, Robert Mack Boyd of Allen, Arthur Marcus Boyd of Colbert, Okla., David Kerr Wilcox and wife Charlotte of Arlington, Mass.; grandchildren, Sean Rolfe Josephson and wife Rita of Houston, Jennifer Boyd Cagle of Corpus Christi, Aiden Wilcox and Lillian Wilcox of Arlington, Mass.; great-grandchildren, Jacob Josephson of Houston, Tyler Cagle, Cody Cagle and Cory Cagle of Corpus Christi.
