SHERMAN - Lynn Ray Posey died peacefully in his sleep March 5, 2010 at his residence.
He was born July 6, 1952, with twin sister Marilyn Adams, to Lindberg Posey and Rozella Posey-Patterson. He graduated from Sherman High School.
Lynn was employed by TP&L Electric Company in Sherman. He also worked as a computer technician in Dallas, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid photographer and computer guru, and was a member of St. John CME Church in Sherman where he served on the Usher Board. His love for life, family and people will leave a lasting impression in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lindberg Posey Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Rozella (I.A.) Patterson of Van Alstyne; grandmother, Geneva Guess of Sherman; son, Davian Bennett of Bonham; daughters, Tara Wimbish of Denison; Schlanda Braxton of Dallas; Anjanete Martin of Kokomo, Indiana; Roshanda Sherfield of Arlington; Buffy Swinger of Denison; Jay Lynn Posey of Dallas; and Bobbie Posey of Dallas; brothers, Lindberg (Armelia) Posey Jr.; Victor (Sylvia) Posey; Phillip Posey; Ronald Posey; and Dave (Lori) Posey, all of Wichita, Kandsd; and Terry Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoms; sisters, Brenda (Erie) Furtch and Marilyn Adams, both of Sherman; Lorraine Moore-Posey of Oakland, Califprmos; and Linda (Roosevelt) Love-Gibson; sister, Janet (Joe) Jackson of Austin; special friend, Daunja Castellanos of Ardmore, Oklahoms; 22 grandchildren and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service were held noon Saturday at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Dr. Gahlen Warren, Senior Pastor, and Pastor Steve Lewis Sr. eulogist. Burial followed at West Hill Cemetery.
