H. O. Hannah Passes Away

Pioneer Citizen Was Known Through Southwest as a Leading Florist

H. O. Hannah, 77, died at a local sanitarium at 4:10 o'clock Friday afternoon following an operation.  He had been critically ill for several weeks.
Mr. Hannah was born in Randolph county, Missouri, September 12, 1852.  He received his early school training in a country school.  He attended a Presbyterian college at Mound, Mo., and later was graduated from the North Missouri State Normal college. For two years he taught school in Missouri and for three years in California.  He returned in 1880 to Moberly, Missouri, where he lived until he came to Sherman in 1895.
His first business venture in Texas was building and loan.  He was secretary of the Equitable Savings and Building Association.  After following this profession for five years he entered the florist business to.....

Mrs. E.R. Hickerson's Brother Dies in Texas
H.O. Hannah, 78, formber Moberly resident, and for a number of years a florist at Sherman,Texas, died in Sherman Friday and funeral services were held there Sunday.
His sister, Mrs. E.R. Hickerson, 315 South Williams street, is expected to return to Moberly tonight after spending the past week in Sherman.
Mr. Hannah is survived by one son, Fred Hannah of Sherman; two sisters, Mrs. Hickerson of Moberly and Mrs. E.E. Hawkes of Chicago, Illinois; and three brothers, O.E. Hannah, Tavares, Florida; Wilbut Hannah, Moberly; and Frank Hannah, New York City.  Mrs. J.F. McLellan of Moberly is a niece.
