DENISON - Victoria Jane "Vicky" Gibbs, 66-year-old Denison resident, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at her residence. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 31 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Denison with Rev. Stephen Macio officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Gibbs was born on May 8, 1945 in Rochester, N.H., daughter of Albert and Theresa Zamarchi Auger. She graduated from Holy Rosary High School in Rochester, New Hampshire and McIntosh College in Dover, New Hampshire. She married Charles Lonidier on May 4, 1985 and he died in 1988. She married Jim Bob Gibbs on May 8, 2007. He preceded her in death in 2008.
She moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1967 and worked in a variety of secretarial positions. She moved to Pottsboro, Texas in 1977. For many years she worked at the Terex Reedrill Company in Denison, Texas as a receptionist and switchboard operator. Most recently she worked at the Denison Housing Authority in youth education, teaching computer skills, crafts and child development for the children of those that were in college prep and GED classes.
She was the president of a Rose and Herb group in Denison. Vicky's great passion was dancing, and she regularly attended senior dancing clubs in the Sherman and Denison area. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Paul Auger, Phil Auger and Charles Creteau.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Yarid of Methuen, Massachusetts; brothers, Paul Auger and his wife, Madeleine of New Durham, New Hampshire and Phil Auger and his wife, Carolyn of Strafford, New Hampshire; sisters, Judy Bober and her husband, Ed of Rochester, New Hampshire; and grandchildren, Rachel and Anastasia of Methuen, Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two husbands, Charles Lonidier and Jim Bob Gibbs.
Rosary will be held from 5 -6 p.m Sunday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home.
