Jack C. Brown of Sherman, was born December 18, 1922 and passed away January 22, 2009 at his home. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. 
Services were held at 10 am Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman, Texas. Dr. Mike Lawson of the First Baptist Church of Sherman officiated. Burial was at West Hill Cemetery with Albert G. Brown, Scott Clendennen, Chris Scott, Weston Brown, Garrett Wheeler, Chad Kirchner, and Eddie Thompson serving as pallbearers. 
Mr. Brown was born in Pottsboro, TX, son of Albert S. and Sallie Brown. He graduated from Denison High School in 1939. He was a proud graduate of Texas A & M University in 1944. Mr. Brown worked for The Quaker Oats Company and Continental Grains as a salesman and regional manager. After his retirement he worked for Dean Gilbert as a real estate agent. 
He is survived by his wife Auldean Brown; his son Cary Brown and wife Wendy of Big Spring, TX; daughters, Joyce Clendennen and husband Franklin of Austin, TX, Nancy Scott and husband Tom of Denison, TX, and Cathy McClaran and husband Joe of Sherman, TX. Mr. Brown was a devoted grandfather to 10 grandchildren; Keri Lilly, Chris Scott, Staci Kirchner, Jenny Ulcak, Scott Clendennen, Brian McClaran, Lindsey Brown, Weston Brown, Elizabeth Wheeler and Garrett Wheeler. He has 10 great-grandchildren: Jordan and Ryen Lilly, Morgan and Marissa Kirchner, Tayvin, Kambri and Kielee McClaran, Rachel and Nathan Ulcak and Kirsten Clendennen. He is also survived by sisters Juanita Wilson and Dorothy Grimes, and nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ralph, Albert W. and Charles Brown, sisters Geneva Thomas and Mary Thompson, and great-grandson Devin Kirchner. 
The family received friends Friday evening at Waldo Funeral Home.
