Sherman ~ Beverly Browne Hall, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center from complications of pneumonia. Services will be held 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Covenant Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Neill Morgan will officiate. Following the memorial service a reception will be held in the Wharton Fellowship Hall at the church. Waldo Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

Beverly was born September 30, 1926 in Lowell, Mass. to Charles Dudley (CD) Browne and Maude (Betty) Gray Browne, but moved to Texas just as soon as mother and daughter could make the trip. She grew up in Sherman, attending Washington Elementary School and graduating from Sherman High School. She attended Austin College for two years before marrying the love of her life, Bill Hall, on January 25, 1947 in Sherman. 
Their first home was in Tyler and their first son was born there a year later. 
In January 1949 Bill was recalled to active duty in the USAF. His first assignment was a remote tour in Misawa, Japan during the Korean War. Another son and daughter joined the family in the following years and they were all able to share many happy homes and exciting experiences in Nebraska, Minnesota, Missouri, Florida, California and Tokyo before retiring in 1970 in Sherman.
Bill and Beverly shared almost 46 years of marriage, and are the proud grandparents of six wonderful kids and four great grandchildren. 
She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, having served as an elder and several offices in Presbyterian Women's organizations. She enjoyed membership in Shakespeare and Mary Brown Paul Book Review Club as well as bridge clubs. 
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Bill and Sharon Hall of Dallas, Barry and Nona Hall of San Antonio and Barbara Hall Jennings and husband Jeff of Allen; her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Billy Jeff Hall, in December of 1992. 
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Friday evening at Waldo Funeral Home. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church, Austin College or to the donor's charity of choice.
