Edwin Sims Robson, 80 year old retired Railroad Engineer of Scotland and a Texas Instrument employee of Sherman, passed away from a long term illness at a senior care home in Sherman on December 1, 2008. 
Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 4, 2008 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at 401 S. Crockett Street in Sherman followed by a Masonic graveside at West Hill Cemetery. There will be a family visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service at the Church. Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. 
Edwin was born in Kirkwynd, Hawick Parish, Scotland on November 19, 1928. A son to Mark Newton Robson and Grace Irene Sims Robson of Hawick, Scotland. He retired from the British Railroad in 1978 after 30 years. Edwin married Emma Jones on March 1, 1947 in Glasgow, Scotland. He moved back to Sherman and began working for Texas Instruments at the Polysillicon Plant and retired from there in 1993. 
He was a Master Mason of Scotland Masonic Lodge, also under Sheriff John H. Blystone as a Special Deputy (Sheriff Posy). Edwin Served of National Service in the Black Watch Regiment. He became a United States Citizen on November 22, 1985. He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. His mother was a High Court Judge in Edinburgh, Scotland. His grandfather Sims was a Founding Father of the Sims Dental Hospital in Manchester, England. 
Edwin is survived by his daughter, Sandra West, son, Edwin Mark Robson and wife Judy, special adopted daughter, Terry Krawitz, grandchildren, Scot Craig and wife Chelo, Stephanie Walton and husband Ben, Justin West and wife Shasta, Mark Robson and wife Kim, Lorraine Givens and husband Brian, Jason Wells and wife Emily and Adam Wells and wife Veanna. He is also survived by great grandchildren, Shannon, Jasser, Jadyn, Abby, Adair, Courtney, Trevor, Justin II and Kloi. 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Emma Jones Robson, parents, brother Jimmy Blair of Scotland, sister Johanna Willowby of New Zealand and son-in-law James E West III. 
The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church or Always Better Care Home Hospice.
